RESPONSIBLE TO: The Head of School
We are looking for an excellent specialist teacher to join the team from August 2021. This is a unique, full time teaching position for someone who is eager to teach both Music and PE to all primary ages.
The successful candidate will be a qualified primary teacher who is passionate about teaching Music and PE. A music specialist with an interest in strings, choir and performance. You will be an excellent communicator and strong team player, who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you are well organised, have a good sense of humour and be a confident user of technology - St. Michael’s is a G-suite school and uses Chromebooks and IPads for teaching and learning.
During COVID, our well established school choir has been replaced with a string ensemble and we have recently invested in class sets of ukuleles and xylophones. Candidates interested in developing our string programme further will be at an advantage. Our PE curriculum has been modified to reduce high contact sports and encourage the development of physical fitness.
Candidates should hold a UK or internationally recognised teaching qualification and have a minimum of two years experience in a UK or British international school.
