JOB DESCRIPTION

Professional Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to exercise her/his professional skills and judgement to carry out, in a collaborative manner, the professional duties set out below:-

●  Prepare and teach a suitable music curriculum for children aged 18 months to 6 years old

●  Ordering/maintaining musical equipment

●  Assess and communicating regularly with classroom teachers about their students progress

●  Contribute to reporting procedures and parent communication

●  Being available, if necessary, to discuss the music program or student’s needs with parents.

●  Teach music in an after-school programme

●  Teach and care for all the students at Clarence International School in accordance with the schedule provided.

●  Lead groups of students/whole group in learning experiences

●  Maintain safety standards of environment and activities

●  Working with Head of School to improve provision of programme

●  Working with Head of School to report status of programme

●  Work alongside preschool curriculum, assist curriculum design plan appropriate activities, research and prep accordingly

●  Keep the classroom environment safe and clean

●  Plan, organise and deliver various school events in cooperation with the Head of School. Curriculum Designer, Event

Organiser, Administrators and other Team Members and take overall responsibility for students event preparation

Experience

●  Successful teaching experience in an Early Years setting.

●  Experience of assessing pupils.

●  Interest in innovative activity design and integration of the arts to engage learning.
