JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is a part time position, teaching the KEC after school programme

The KEC Teacher reports to the KEC Leader and Clarence International School Head of School

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and care for all the students at KEC in accordance with the schedule provided.

  • Understand and follow school policies and the school ethos fully, and maintain high quality lessons and safety standards in line with safeguarding protocol.

  • Ensure every student makes progress and is engaged in their language learning.

  • Understand the provided curriculum, plan and prepare appropriate lessons, meet deadlines and meet the expected teaching standard and quality.

  • Create and carry out ongoing and benchmark  assessments based on the content taught.

  • Communicate with parents on a day to day basis to articulate the pupils' progress, their areas of ongoing success and areas for development. 

  • Keep school learning and shared areas safe and tidy, returning teaching spaces to their original set up and cleanliness at the end of sessions

  • Work together with the KEC leader to deliver the best programme possible, reporting issues and delivering feedback on progress of the programme. 

  • Seek ways to grow and expand the KEC programme, including increasing the number of students and extending the number of classes available.
